Xiao Ba first brings the old iron fans a hot piece of news: Chery's high-end sub-brand Exeed has recently made a big move! Official images of the Exeed Sterra ES extended-range version have just been released, and it is expected to officially go on sale in early March.

This car comes with 30 sensors and dual NVIDIA chips with 508 TOPS of computing power, and is claimed to be able to achieve "map-free intelligent driving" full-scenario coverage. The most ruthless thing is that the pure electric range reaches 255 kilometers (CLTC), fiercer than some pure electric cars!
As for the price, referring to the pure electric version's starting stance of 195,900 yuan, the extended-range version will probably go head-to-head with tough competitors like the Changan Qiyuan A07!
Dear viewers, please listen to Xiao Ba explain in detail! When it comes to the most intimidating thing about this extended-range version, it has to be that "Falcon Intelligent Driving" system.

What does 30 sensors mean? The neighboring Tesla Model 3 only has 8 cameras + 1 millimeter-wave radar. Not to mention the computing power of the dual NVIDIA DRIVE ORIN chips, equivalent to running 40 PS5 consoles at the same time!
But then again, whether this setup can actually work well in urban areas still depends on real-world performance. After all, there are many automakers claiming "map-free" capabilities now, but whether they can truly make veteran-driver-level judgments, you only know after driving it.
In terms of appearance, the designers really took it easy (manual dog head), it is completely twins with the pure electric version. The 4945mm slender body with a fastback shape, and the hidden door handles are quite futuristic.

The newly added Aurora Purple paint will definitely win over a wave of young women, but that active front grille... an extended-range car still doing this trick? I suggest the manufacturer next time also make the fuel filler cap an electric hidden design, so as not to ruin the overall aesthetics.
Here comes the key point! The curb weight of this car directly soars to 2285 kilograms, a full 310 kilograms heavier than the entry pure electric version. What does that mean? It is equivalent to carrying four 100-kilogram strong men extra!
Although the front double wishbone + rear five-link suspension can hold the fort, the energy consumption performance is probably questionable. Fortunately, the 1.5T range extender has 115kW of power support, plus the 40-degree large battery from Guoxuan High-tech, and the pure electric range can reach 255 kilometers.
For charging, it supports 110kW fast charging, replenishing 60% in 17.5 minutes. This figure is indeed competitive among extended-range cars.

Performance enthusiasts look here! The Snow Leopard four-wheel drive system + official 0-100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds is 0.3 seconds faster than the top pure electric version.
But Xiao Ba wants to pour some cold water, in actual testing the battery level has a considerable impact on acceleration. It is recommended that prospective owners, when test driving, remember to press the battery level below 30% and then floor the accelerator, to see whether there will be power degradation.
In terms of space, the 3000mm wheelbase is absolutely enough, and the rear row can easily cross legs. But the fastback shape sacrifices some headroom, so old iron fans taller than 185cm are advised to bring a cushion (not really).

What is more surprising is that it retains the two-stage adjustable electric rear wing. Although it has no aerodynamic significance for an extended-range car, the showing-off effect is full marks!
Speaking of competitors, the Changan Qiyuan A07 and Leapmotor C01 are indeed more attractively priced. But the Exeed Sterra ES extended-range version's configuration is clearly a grade higher, especially the intelligent driving system and chassis materials.

The current pure electric version's dismal monthly sales of only 127 units really makes people sweat. The manufacturer is betting on the extended-range market this time, and the key depends on the pricing strategy. Xiao Ba blindly guesses a starting price of 229,900 yuan; if it can drop below 200,000 yuan, it will absolutely go crazy!
Finally, a practical suggestion: if you are a northern user or have long-distance needs, the extended-range version is indeed more reliable than pure electric. But if it is mainly for urban commuting, the entry pure electric model is more cost-effective.
As for the intelligent driving system, don't take it too seriously at this stage, just treat it as buying a "potential stock." By the way, remember to option the rear privacy glass, otherwise with this big fastback design, whatever you do in the back row can be seen clearly by others!
